Our blog today is Affirmations for a Restful Sleep

Affirmations are thoughts and statements of acceptance you can use to manifest your intentions. They are powerful and positive.

When using positive affirmations, you first need to eliminate the negativity around you. You must believe that YOU CAN manifest your destiny. It must be a positive, powerful belief – not just “maybe I'll try and see if this works". Affirmations, combined with meditation, are a helpful tool in creating the life you want.

Before you Begin: Decide what area of your life you want to improve and what it is you need to do it.

Use the present or past tense: Don’t use the future tense. You want your mind to know, that what you want has already happened.

Be Positive: Use the most positive terms you can. Never think or say anything negative in your affirmations.

Write Them Down: As you learn to do affirmations, write them down so you will remember exactly what you want to say. Keep them short and very specific. Personalize them with your name.

Believe: Always believe that what you are saying is happening. The more you believe the stronger the affirmation.

Repeat: Repetition sets the positive affirmation in your head and your unconscious being.

Set a specific daily time: Build a habit out of yourmeditations, affirmations, and visualizations.

Create Your Own: Choose the ones that feel right for you. A few examples are listed on the following pages to get you started.

Speak or read the following affirmations each night when you go to bed. This will remind you of your inner strength and personal power before going to sleep.

  • I am giving my body and mind permission to calm down and be relaxed.
  • I am healthy in all aspects of my being.
  • Serenity and tranquility flow through my body.
  • I can sleep effortlessly anywhere.
  • I feel safe, calm, and peaceful; falling and staying asleep is becoming easier.
  • My quality of sleep is profound, I notice now that I awaken rested, relaxed, energized, and happy.
  • I am now releasing all tension.
  • I am letting go of all the stimulation from my day.
  • As I breathe, I am now letting my muscles relax.
  • I am allowing my body and mind to relax.
  • I am giving myself permission to fall into a deep and satisfying sleep.
  • As I sleep, my mind sends every cell, fiber, and nerve in my body the message that I desire, a healthy, stress-free body.
  • As I sleep, my heart radiates joy, and my body feels relieved that I will wake refreshed every morning.
